New York Times has a nice article about a new emerging field, Usability. It's a field that "has taken off in the last three, four, five years". I can attest to the critical need for Usability professionals, who can see things not just from the company's side, but also from the end-user's point of view. This is even more so in the Arab world, where the word usability is hardly mentioned in most companies when building new products. I encourage all new students to look into this field, and consider it as a career path.
